• Use hermetic (air tight) enclosures. These could be glass jars, cans, plastic wares.
• Store dry seeds only. Remember, seeds have their own storage moisture content. Most seeds are stored at 5-7% M.C.
• Keep away from moisture. Germination of seeds is influenced by, as primary factor, water absorption. Effects of other factors such as light and temperature vary with species.
• Refrigerate. Low temperature keeps seeds inactive.
