To Apple, on our 7th wedding anniversary

7th wedding anniversary

To Apple, on our 7th wedding anniversary
The day is here again.
Let it not be a reminder of the long journey ahead,
But a beckon of the good times we ought to see.
I thank God for giving you to me. I pledge that we prosper according to His will.
It is always delightful to look back at life and reminisce how it all started.
How you came into my life and how we reached this far.
Thank you for putting up with all my faults,
Mistakes are building blocks of wisdom and you made me learn from my wrong choices.
I will always love to be with you through life’s journey.
The best thing about forever is when we stay together.
Thank you for celebrating all our good qualities and moments, they made us come closer.
Thank you for celebrating all our disagreements and arguments, they bind us stronger.
I hope I am being the kind of husband that you deserve.
Thank you for giving me Yousef and Nico, they complete us.
I hope I am being the kind of father that they deserve.
Thank you for being an adorable wife to me and a compassionate mother to them.
Thank you for being here. I love you.

Let us make the world less unfair

FAIRNESS has been one of my guiding principles in life.

FAIRNESS is our obligation to make impartial and objective decisions.

After a series of research and contemplation on this value, I have come up with these three conducts that I would like to share:

  1. Our conduct must be free from competing self-interest
  1. Our conduct must also be free from discrimination –
  1. Our conduct must also be free from favoritism

These three conducts to FAIRNESS , discussed in my e-book, could assist us in making wise decisions especially when faced with difficult situation where we may be asked to compromise our honor.

Check it out!

It also has discussions on the moral and professional aspects of this value.

It is my hope that we continuously use FAIRNESS to build upon and evolve our personal and professional attitude.

By doing so, we will make the world less unfair.

Apple meets Cashew

cashew-apples

My wife, Apple, had her warts removed two weeks ago thru a natural herbal cautery, which Amazing Touch offers.

This technique makes use of natural herbal cream – cashew nut extract.

You may visit http://www.rccamazingtouch.com/ for more information.

The process:

  • Set an appointment with the clinic.
  • At the clinic, you inform the dermatechnologist whether you intend to remove all warts from your body or only at concerned areas. The dermatechnologist will assess your warts and present you a quote.
  • You then decide to proceed, not to proceed or do a price negotiation. If you decide to proceed, the dermatechnologist will take care of the rest . . .

Now the scabs have started falling and, really, there were no scars.

Congratulations to the inventor Mr. Rolando dela Cruz, you just got another satisfied customer.

It was indeed an amazing touch from nature.

And I had a free facial!!! . . . LOL  . . . It went with the package . . .

Ooops! The treatment was NOT at all Painless. The warts have to be scratched before they apply the secret cream. There is where the OUTCH comes in . . . Nonetheless, the end justifies the means.

FYI. Dewart is a verb which means, removing wart from your body.

Hermetic storage. . . Is it an AHH! or a HHA?

Do these words strike you with a HHA???

You might be hearing this storage technique from seed producers and distributors.

Well, this is just the best way to store your seeds.

Webster, Google, Wikipedia. . . they all will  tell you that hermetic means ‘air tight’.

That’s it! Hermetic storage is nothing but “air tight storage”.  For as long as you protect your seed from air, you are already doing hermetic storage.

You may also visit my previous company Grainpro Phils., Inc at [email protected]. They provide a number of articles on this topic.

I hope now, it’s an AHH!!!

Did you know Daniel Bernoulli ???

I wonder if Daniel Bernoulli also watered his plants . . .
A common principle in watering plants, and perhaps one of the basic I believe, is the application of Bernoulli’s principle:
• Water is only being absorbed through the root system.
• Absorption is induced by air movement.
• Stomata in the leaves is a hole that, somehow and so complex, extend all the way to the root system.
As air passes on the surfaces of the leaves, a suction effect (negative pressure as described in the Bernoulli’s principle) is created in the stomata resulting to an absorption effect in the root system.
A very good analogy to this is when you drink your cola using a straw.

Remember: water plants through the roots, not leaves.

The seed and the baby . . .

Today was born Yousef.

I can’t imagine a seed to germinate nine months after sowing.

He reminds me of the first leaves that come out from a seed.

His rolled fingers and his skin make resemblance of them.

I pledge to water him everyday.

I couldn’t wait to see him grow and become a tree.

Now I am a gardener and a parent.

Welcome to the Christian world my son.

Tips on storing seeds

  • Use hermetic (air tight) enclosures. These could be glass jars, cans, plastic wares.
  • Store dry seeds only. Remember, seeds have their own storage moisture content. Most seeds are stored at 5-7% M.C.
  • Keep away from moisture. Germination of seeds is influenced by, as primary factor, water absorption. Effects of other factors such as light and temperature vary with species.
  • Refrigerate. Low temperature keeps seeds inactive.
